Artemether-Lumefantrine is a fixed-dose combination antimalarial medication used to treat uncomplicated Plasmodium falciparum malaria. It contains two active ingredients:

Artemether: a fast-acting artemisinin derivative that quickly reduces the number of malaria parasites.

Lumefantrine: a longer-acting partner drug that eliminates remaining parasites and helps prevent recurrence.

This combination is effective against multidrug-resistant malaria and is typically administered as oral tablets. It is included in the WHO’s List of Essential Medicines and is widely used in malaria-endemic regions.
